General Manager – Maternity Cover
GamesAid is looking for someone to join the team on a fixed-term contractual basis (up to 12 months) as maternity cover for the General Manager.

Workday hours: 8am – 5pm 3 days a week (Flexible on which with potential additional days during busy periods as mutually agreed)
Location: Remote with occasional UK travel to various events
Salary: £19,200
Fixed Term Contract (6 Months with option to extend to 9 and 12 months)
Ideal start Date: Monday 7th September
General Manager Job Description (Maternity Cover up to 12 Months)
The general manager role primarily involves making sure the charity runs smoothly everyday, that all charity projects are on track and providing information and assistance to the team as their line manager. The general manager is also responsible for reporting back to the chair the status of the charity and what trustee involvement is needed as well as ensuring the charity is meeting all legal requirements.
Other responsibilities include producing monthly reports, handling staff queries, submitting annual accounts working with our bookkeeper and trustees, updating charities commission and managing the charity’s insurance.
The ideal candidate would be organised, have clear communication skills, management experience, proficient IT skills and thrive working in a small team. The role requires ability to handle multiple tasks at once and adapt to urgent situations.
As GamesAid is a small team, each member attends various events and represents the charity. It is vital the general manager is outgoing and ready to pick up new opportunities and potential partnerships.
Each team member is responsible for ownership over certain events. The general manager’s main event is the Golf and Spa Day. This involves organising every aspect of the event so event experience is desirable. This will be for July 2027.
